Get the most from Poople hints
First compare the starting word and puzzle number with the official game. Our daily clues belong to the record shown above. If your board starts with another word, do not assume the clues apply to it.
Open the gentlest clue, think of a few legal moves, and give yourself another attempt before opening the next one. A more specific clue narrows the search; the strongest available clue may name one helpful next word. You decide where to stop.
The clues describe one checked route from the starting word. They may not match a branch you have already taken. To use a suggested word, it must differ from your current word in exactly one letter. If it does not, look for a valid connection rather than skipping an intermediate step.
Three ways to get unstuck
Change one position systematically
Hold three letters fixed and test changes in the remaining position. Then move to another position. This is easier to track than repeatedly guessing entire words. For example, COLD and CORD are neighbors because only the third position changes.
Look for options, not just matching letters
A word that looks closer to POOP can still be a dead end for your plan. Useful words often have several accepted neighbors. A move that temporarily changes a target-matching letter may open a shorter route later.
Check your recent trail
If you have returned to a word you used earlier, you have made a loop. Look back to the point where you could have tried another branch. For learning, it is useful to distinguish a legal move from a move that advances a particular route.
Hints and spoilers
This page keeps the full daily solution off the page. Clues are optional and stay folded until you choose to open them. The strongest clue is intended to help with a next step, not reveal all the intermediate words.
Very short puzzles may have fewer clues because even one extra word could give everything away. We would rather provide fewer useful clues than present a complete solution as a supposedly gentle hint.
When you are ready for the whole route, use today's checked Poople answer. If you would rather explore from a word of your own, the solver can calculate a route in its independent dictionary. That route may use words the official game does not accept.
When today's clues are still being checked
The current official reset is 08:00 UTC. We do not automatically turn yesterday's clues into today's at that moment. An update notice means the new puzzle has not yet passed our checks; it is not a clue about the answer.
